to enrolled families, extended family, friends and ECE colleagues
wishing to support our work.
Log In Information
If you are currently enrolled in Discovery Woods Learning Community
OR have been granted guest access and are unable to log in to the
Enrolled Families Section call 703-637-0005.
If you are a friend or extended family to
an an enrolled child and would like to access our online journals,
please send a request for log in. Your request
should include your name, relationship, contact information and the name
of the enrolled family. All requests are subject to approval by
the enrolled family AND the DWLC director.
In This Section
Journals
In this section you will find the online journals of our day to day
work. The journals document our journey through photographs of the
work in progress, scanned images of drawings, paintings, daily plans,
transcribed conversations, audio recordings, video and reflections of
the work by adults and children.
Discussion Lists
Our email discussion lists and web forums are being developed to
serve as our virtual committees...a place where all members and staff
are encouraged to participate in creating our community.
Discussions regarding upcoming projects, curriculum, educational
philosophy and the direction of the school will be facilitated through
the forums.

A place to get to know each other.
Calendar
Please check the Calendar frequently. Gatherings, family field
trips, parent meetings, school improvement work days, holidays and
session registration days will be recorded here.
